Summary

Assist Account Managers with daily bond transactions; duties include filing bid results, verifying reports of execution (ROE) against AMS billed invoices, filing ROEs in ImageRight, processing renewals, assembling bonds printed by Account Managers, entering bond data in Tinubu, reporting bonds and any other duties requested by Account Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Utilize surety system(s) to process renewal business
  • Issue bonds in compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines; seek approval on all items outside of authority
  • Respond to client and carrier requests; manage miscellaneous day-to-day correspondence
  • Review policies, endorsements, and cancellations for accuracy; ensure that billing is being processed accurately
  • Utilize Agency systems and resources to obtain information requested by clients
  • Analyze policy transactions and Agency records to adjust errors
  • Maintain accurate in force files on the Agency computer and manually create documents and files; interfaces all computer generated policies, endorsements, renewals, and verifies accuracy
  • Prepare Agency invoicing when applicable, review policy expiration reports, and take corrective follow up action
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and surety representatives
  • Scan important bond documents into Agency system and attach to the appropriate account within ImageRight
  • Maintain and update Bond Forms Library within Tinubu
  • Adhere to Agency policies, procedures, and codes of conduct
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development
  • Perform other assigned duties or functions as required to meet business objectives

  • Education and/or Experience
    • Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or four to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Language Skills
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as insurance contracts and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Mathematical Skills
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Computer Skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AMS360, ImageRight, Nitro, Adobe and other document management system
