Mark Hairston Shares Risk Insights at Pitt Cybersecurity Workshop

By Mark Hairston, CCIC | General Industries Practice Leader

In August, leaders from across industries gathered at the University of Pittsburgh for “Transforming Cybersecurity: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Risk, Technology, and Policy.” Hosted by the Cyber Energy Center and Pitt Cyber, the full-day workshop convened more than 40 participants from government, technology, academia, and business to explore the evolving challenges of cybersecurity.

Seubert was proud to have Mark Hairston, CCIC, General Industries Practice Leader from our Commercial Lines Division, contribute to the panel “Perspectives on Risk,” alongside experts from EQT, GrayMatter, and Carnegie Mellon University. Their discussion explored how organizations across energy, technology, and insurance assess and manage cyber risk, highlighting the importance of integrating risk management practices across industries.

Events like this workshop reinforce Pittsburgh’s growing reputation as a hub for cybersecurity innovation, research, and thought leadership. Read more coverage of the event in the University of Pittsburgh News and Quantum News articles.
