Additional Guidance
In the event of damage to your building or contents:
-
- Protect the property from further damage
- Call the proper authorities and utility companies (gas, electric, telephone)
- Take photos of the damage before having emergency repairs made, such as boarding up windows
- Call Seubert Claims at 412-734-4900 to report the loss.
- Keep records of expenses
Once your claim is filed, an insurance company adjuster will be in touch with you to discuss the facts of the loss, and the damages. We are available to assist in any phase of the claim.
If you have any questions or encounter any problems in the handling of your claim, please contact our Claims Team for assistance.
In the event of an accident:
- Report the accident to the police.
- Obtain information about the other people involved in the accident, including:
- Names, addresses, and phone numbers
- Auto and driver’s license numbers
- Insurance company
- Type of vehicle
- Have your vehicle towed to the nearest repair shop if the vehicle is not drivable. Do not authorize repairs until the claims adjuster gives you the authority to do so.
- Call Seubert Claims (412-734-4900) to report the accident.
After we report the claim to the insurance company, the claims adjuster will:
- Contact you to request details of the accident and repair estimates.
- Arrange for an appraiser to inspect the damages of vehicles that are not drivable or extensively damaged.
- Contact you for a settlement.
- Deal directly with the others involved in the accident.
Should you be contacted by anyone, refer him or her to your claims adjustor.
In the event of vandalism, theft, or windshield loss:
- Report the vandalism, loss, or theft to the police.
- For vandalism or theft, call Seubert Claims (412-734-4900) to report the loss.
- For windshield, call the carrier directly to report the claim.

In the event your employee is injured on the job:
- Report the claim directly to the insurance company via their toll-free reporting number. If you need help, contact Seubert Claims (412-734-4900).
After you report the claim, the claims adjuster will:
- Contact the injured employee to discuss the accident.
- Request copies of bills and doctor’s reports for medical treatment administered.
- Contact you, the employer, if there is any lost time from work as a result of the injury.

In the event of injuries or damage to property of others which you allegedly caused:
- Call Seubert Claims (412-734-4900) to report the incident.
- Forward any correspondence, including a summons from an attorney representing the other party, to us.
- Do not discuss the claim with the other party or their attorney. Refer them to your insurance company’s claims adjuster or to Seubert.
After you report the claim, the claim adjuster will contact you to obtain facts of the incident and advise you on further steps you should take.
