Seubert Opens Ohio Office
Seubert & Associates is excited to announce the opening of our newest office, and first outside of Pennsylvania, just outside of Columbus, Ohio.
Rather than breaking into Ohio by acquiring an agency Seubert is choosing instead to enter the market from scratch and grow the business organically.
“We’ve always grown our business using both approaches, depending on what opportunity presented itself,” says Seubert & Associates President, Brian Long. “Right now, we’ve got a great opportunity to start from the ground up in Ohio.”
That opportunity is in the form of Gary Dennis, who is starting the Ohio office. Mr. Dennis is a native of Ohio who started his insurance career 18 years ago, working his way up the ranks from upstart agent to executive V.P. of a large Midwestern agency, where his specialty was employee benefits for both the private and public sector. He has served on regional and national insurance company broker advisory panels, and currently serves as a board member of the Ralph and Lucey Schey Sales Centre at Ohio University.
“It’s exciting to return to my entrepreneurial roots,” Mr. Dennis said of his new opportunity with Seubert. “It’s like coming full circle back to the work I most enjoy.”
Seubert’s Ohio office is located at 13 East Winter Street, in the town of Delaware, just north of Columbus. The agency will serve the entire state, though focusing most especially on central Ohio businesses with 50 to 500 employees. The agency provides a full range of products and services, including commercial insurance, employee benefits, bonding and risk management.
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, Mr. Dennis has lived most of his life in Marion, Ohio, were he now resides with his wife and three children. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where he played various intercollegiate sports and obtained his BA in Economic Management in 1992. In addition to his involvement in the insurance industry, he is active with various local community and school causes.
